The picture at left is a lake near Custer National Park at Mount Rushmore.

Our travels began with a trip to Hawaii which is referenced on our Home page.  Upon our return we set out to complete my goal of visiting all 50 states.

The adventure continued with our next trip listed below.

October 6, 2004	We drove to Boston and boarded the Jewel of the Seas for a 10 day cruise to New England, Canada and the Maritimes and upon our return went to Vermont and the Poconos.
February 22, 2005	We left for California for a 30 day trip across the US.  We went south to I-10 through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, to California.  On our return we also went through Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and back to Tennessee.

April 26,2005                   We left for Williamsburg, VA and toured the Colonial Williamsburg Area, Jamestown

                                           and Yorktown.  

 May 24, 2005                   Went to Pigeon Forge for 4 days to go hiking, canoeing, shopping and picnicing.

 June 21, 2005                  Went to Charlotte, NC for hiking, shopping, then  Ft. Mills, SC and Blowing Rock ,NC

 July 19, 2005                    Went with our family & Jim & Pat Stout to Myrtle Beach, SC for a week at the beach.

 August 4, 2005                 Went to Richmond, VA to visit Jenny & Peter did the sites downtown, canal walk etc.

August 23, 2005               Went back to Pigeon Forge and rented a house at River Pointe on the river to relax.

September 13, 2005        Trip to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone NP and Grand Teton NP in Wyoming, then to 

                                            Targhee NP and Victor and Driggs, ID then to Seattle, WA loved Pike's Place

                                            Market and the Space Needle.  Left on a cruise to Alaska for a week to Juneau,

                                            Skagway, Ketchikan, Mendenhall Glacier and Glacier Bay NP.  On to Vancouver,

                                             BC where we took a ferry to Victoria and Butchart Gardens.  Have now been to all

                                             50 states.

November 15, 2005          Trip to Nashville for Vickie's retirement.  Stayed at Union Station & shopped.

November 28, 2005          Trip to Scottsboro, AL to unclaimed baggage warehouse, then to Huntsville. New

                                             goal is to visit all 95 counties in Tennessee. 

December 27, 2005          Trip to Cherokee, NC for Vickie's Birthday.  55 on the 28th.  Happy Birthday! and

                                              Happy Retirement.
